Cooper develops a modern cryosurgical apparatus, which increases the interest in cryosurgery. Setrag Zecarian introduces a hand- held self-pressurized liquid nitrogen spray device. Lloyd et all. proposes that cryoanalgesia is superior to other methods of peripheral nerve destruction. Cryonic Medical develops hyperbaric gaseous cryotherapy, which is the application CO, of carbon dioxide to skin, resulting in a painless way to treat skin abnormalities.
