HERD COVID-19 IMMUNITY AND In a bid to stop the novel coronavirus from wreaking havoc, researchers are putting in consistent efforts to find a cure for COVID-19 and a solution to stop the spread. One such proposed solution is Herd Immunity which is still under speculation. How herd immunity works: Herd immunity is achieved when enough people are immune to a disease for the chains of transmission to be broken. It can happen in two ways: Natural Immunity 1. when people get infected and recover, they develop an immunity to the disease in the process and are less likely to pass on the disease. 2. Vaccination people get vaccinated and become immune to the disease.
