5 TYPES OF STRETCHING FOR FITNESS DYNAMIC STRETCHING Dynamic stretching is stretching which helps in the range of motion, the movement of the body increases the speed of movement. Example: Hamstring stretching in which the legs and arms swing upward helps to increase the range of motion. ACTIVE STRETCHING Active stretching is stretching which helps in mobility and flexibility changes. It is done by holding using only the muscles. This is mostly used in Yoga. PNF STRETCHING PNF stretching is the stretching that helps to stretched muscle more gently and for a shorter duration of time. It improves running and jumping performance in sports.
