QUICK START TO GEOSPATIAL STORYTELLING Learn to Map, Be Prepared 1 CREATE ESRI ACCOUNT www. Go to the ArcGIS StoryMaps website and create a public account. (Link: storymaps.arcgis.com) START A NEW STORY Select Create a Story on the Stories landing page. 3 DESIGN A COVER Create a title and a short introduction. Then, add an image or a video. 4 DRAFT YOUR STORY Tell your story using paragraphs. You can also add charts, graphs, images, links, and videos. 5 CREATE A MAP Insert a map and add geographic context to your story. SHARE YOUR STORY Publish your story. Select Everyone (Public). Then, share your story on social media with the hashtag #alohacouncilstorymap.
