SUMMER WINE C ОСКТАТLS Classic Spanish Sangria Red Hot Summer Lime wheel for garnish Lime wheel for garnish Juice from 2 limes or 1 orange -Lemon-lime soda Soda water or Cava Medium / full bodied red wine Medium bodied red wine Directions Directions To make a jug of classic Spanish sangria, add one 170ml bottle of red wine - we suggest Grenache or Tempranillo, 1 cup of soda water, 1/4 to 1/2 cup of sugar (depending on taste), juice from 2 limes or 1 orange and add a lime wheel to garnish. To make a glass of Red Hot Summer, fill the glass with ice, pour in 3/4 of a glass of full or medium bodied red wine - a Spanish Rioja would be a good bet, 1/4 of a glass of lemon-lime soda, stir and serve with a lime wheel garnish. Melon Spritzer Cucumber & Elderflower Spritzer Bamboo skewers Mint sprigs for garnish Juice from 2 limes Blended cucumber Cloudy apple juice FElderflower cordial Lemonade & crushed ice Blended melon chunks Chilled soda water Chilled white wine Chilled, fruity white wine Directions Directions To make a jug of Melon Spritzer, put 500g of melon chunk in a blender with lime juice and 100ml of apple juice and blend. Pour the mixture into a jug with 250ml of lemonade and chilled white wine (such as Pinot Grigio) and serve. To make this spritzer, chop up a cucumber and blend with 1/2 bottle of Sauvignon Blanc and 200ml elderflower cordial. Pour through a sieve into a jug and chill Then fill each glass with mint leaves & ice, pour in cucumber base and top with soda water. Blushing Bride Kir Royal -Peach schnapps Cassis (blackcurrant liquer) Grenadine syrup Chilled champagne Champagne Directions To make this drink - which is perfect for a wedding - simply pour 25ml peach schnapps and 25ml of grenadine syrup into a glass, then top up with 100ml of champagne. Don't stir the drink, the bubbles will do it for you! Directions To make this refreshing and bubbly cocktail, simply add 15-30ml (or 1-2 tablespoons) of Cassis - a blackcurrant liquer - to chilled champage and serve. As with the blushing bride, there's no need to stir! Ruby on the Rails Strawberry Rosé Sangria Serve with a straw Strawberry garnish Strawberry syrup - Gin Simple (rhubarb) syrup, cooled and strained Fresh-squeezed lemon juice Pimm's No. 1 -Fruity rosé wine Fruity rosé wine Directions To make this classic wine cocktail, place ice cubes and sliced strawberries into a glass, then combine ice, gin, strawberry syrup, Pimm's No.1, fresh-squeezed lemon juice and rosé wine in a cocktail shaker. Shake, pour and serve! Directions To make a jug of this sangria, add a bottle of rosé wine, 1 sliced lime, loosely packed mint leaves, 2 cups of quartered strawberries and a rhubarb syrup to a jug. Serve over ice, along with club soda to taste. Tawny Crushed Sherry Cobbler -Crushed ice Simple syrup Croft fine Tawny port Sherry Directions Directions It couldn't be simpler to make this classic port cocktail. To make your own Tawny Crushed, simply add crushed ice to a glass, and add Croft fine Tawny port to taste. YoU can also garnish with a lemon wheel. To make the classic Sherry Cobbler cocktail, add 4 ounces of sherry (Fino or Oloroso) into a glass and top with 1/2 ounce of syrup. Add 3 orange slices (or as many as you'd like) and fresh, seasonal berries for garnish.
