LATIN AMERICANS AND STREETFOOD: Stands are in full growth in Puerto Rico. They are spaces for social interaction, exchanging ideas, having conversations and making friends. Brands are very much present at these locations. MEXICO In Mexico City there are street food options available at any time of day, every day. 41% of the Puerto Rican ponts of sale are carts. Due to Puerto Rico's economic situation, many stands are being opened by ex-restaurant owners. High culinary dishes can be found in street food versions. GUATEMALA But for Mexicans and Guatemalans there can in fact be healthy food on the street: fruit carts and stands are easy to find.
