Food Nation 2015

FOOD NATION 2015 For the first time in almost a decade the price of food has fallen, meaning as a nation we now have more cash left in our pockets after the weekly shop. But what effect has this change had on how we spend money on food? How much of our hard-earned cash is spent on groceries, and is it more or less than we spend on eating out and takeaways? To answer these questions, VoucherCodes.co.uk commissioned a study to investigate how much money Brits are spending on food, and how that spend is split between groceries, takeaways and eating out. The below infographic gives a picture of the UK's foodie spending habits. UK CITY SPEND GROCERIES, TAKEAWAYS & EATING OUT The below chart shows the total annual spend for the average resident in the UK's biggest cities.
