Dos and Don’ts of Cooking Meat

DOs and DON'TS of cooking meat There are many things to consider when buying, preparing and cooking meat. Firstly, you need to think of health and hygiene issues. Then you'll want to cook your tasty steak to perfection. Here are some top tips for handling and cooking meat: Do Don't Take the temperature of the meat using a probe. Use the same utensils for raw and cooked meat. Buy from a butcher rather than the supermarket. Put meat you've just cooked in the refrigerator. Let your meat rest after cooking (especially steak). Rush the cooking or defrosting process. Wash your hands before you start and afterwards. Over-season with salt and pepper. Choose organic over non-organic. Buy meat that has fridge burn or looks wet/greasy.
