The cleaner fairer future is a vision of a global energy mix in 2035 that employs renewable energy technologies in a more equal and environmentally sensitive way. The shift to renewable energy sources... means that the negative impacts of climate change on human communities, the environment and other species are limited and more manageable. The local environmental and social devastation caused by extractive technologies is replaced by the far milder footprints of wind, tidal and solar power. The growth in renewable energy industries has also provided many more new jobs, counteracting many of the economic woes we faced in the early 21st century. We do not burn any fossil fuels, and thus massively reduce our CO2 emissions giving us a good chance of avoiding runaway climate change.
