To cook over a campfire: Prepare the fire at least 8 feet from tents, bushes or any other flammable objects. Make a U-shaped perimeter using wet logs or large rocks. When you're camping you tend to use a lot of energy and need to be able to think resourcefully, so having good sleep and thorough rest is quite important. AND IF YOU HAVE AN EARLY BIRD TICKET YOU'VE GOT HOURS TO KILL WHY NOT PACK... A GOOD BOARD BOOK GAMES OR TWO DECK OF PENS CARDS PAPER AND THE ESSENTIALS STAGE MUST. NOT. FORGET. TORCH Some areas will be well lit, but when you're on your way back from the last act of the night, some areas may be pitch black - and ground is very rarely even. WATER CONTAINER MALLET Whether it's for cooking, cleaning or drinking, make sure you have plenty of water available in your tent. A mallet comes in very handy when setting up your tent. Insect Repellent TolLET. ROLL Say no more. You'll be up close and personal with nature. Don't get bitten! the clothing ling- THE CHAIRS Make the most of the hot weather to dry off any wet towels, clothing or groundsheets. Sitting outside enjoying nature is one the best things about camping. If the sun comes out, you're going to struggle to find shade, so don't forget sun cream.
