Moves to Seattle and joins the McSon Trio band. 1952 + TLANTIC Los Angeles, CA Signs on with Atlantic Records, marking the real launch of his СА 1950 career. Moves to Los Angeles after "Confession Blues" becomes a hit. 1959 Joins ABC- Paramount Records. 1979 "Georgia on My Mind" named official state song of Georgia.
