ICONIC SCENE: The Driver's iconic scene occurs not behind the wheel, but in an elevator. Just moments after kissing love interest Irene for the first time, the Driver viciously beats a hitman to death leaving chunks of skin and exposed brain matter in his wake. Suffice to say Irene makes a quick exit. MATT DAMON THE BOURNE IDENTITY JASON BOURNE VEHICLE OF CHOICE: DRIVING SKILLS: Mini Cooper BACKSTORY: Suffering from amnesia, CIA-trained assassin Jason Bourne goes AWOL. ICONIC SCENE: Bond is doggedly pursued by a bunch of bad guys in Alfa Romeos toting sub-machine guns. The : ion takes place along Italy's twisting, narrow mountain roads, with our hero weaving in and out of 'ordinary' traffic as he goes. THE GENE HACKMAN FRENCH CONNECTION POPEYE DOYLE DRIVING SKILLS: VEHICLE OF CHOICE: 1971 Pontiac LeMans BACKSTORY: A Marseille drug cartel are all set to bring a huge shipment BADASS POINTS: of heroin into New York City. After killing the only detective on their case, it's left to hard-bitten detective Popeye Doyle and his long-suffering partner Russo to hunt them down. ICONIC SCENE: After commandeering a car, like a man possessed, Doyle tears through 70's New York chasing a would be assassin who's escaping in an elevated subway train. Robert De Niro RONIN SAM VEHICLE OF CHOICE: DRIVING SKILLS: Peugeot 406 BACKSTORY: American spook-for-hire Sam teams up with French ex-intelligence operative Vincent and a group of mercenaries to steal a briefcase for a clandestine organisation. When one BADASS POINTS: of their team double crosses them, Sam and co set off across Europe to track them down and recover the briefcase. ICONIC SCENE: Sam is chasing his arch-nemesis Deirdre through the busy streets of Paris, outmatched by her BMW and driving a Peugeot, he has to really put pedal to metal to keep up. CHRISTIAN BALE BATMAN BEGINS BATMAN VEHICLE OF CHOICE: DRIVING SKILLS: The Batmobile (Tumbler) BACKSTORY: Reclusive millionaire Bruce Wayne works through his initial fear of bats and the death of his parents, to don a batsuit BADASS POINTS: and fight to free the crime-ridden Gotham City from corruption. Some people would call it eccentric, we'd call it guts. ICONIC SCENE: Finding himself surrounded by the police on the top of a high-rise building. Batman escapes using the Batmobile Tumbler to jump from roof to roof. STEVE MCQUEEN BULLITT FRANK BULLITT VEHICLE OF CHOICE: DRIVING SKILLS: 1968 Ford Mustang BACKSTORY: Bullitt is a tough guy cop, who catches the bad guys but never gets the glory. After a witness in his protection gets BADASS POINTS: killed, he goes on a one man mission to find the underworld kingpin responsible.
