7 Ways To Improve Your Shooting

|ACTION 7 ways to Improve Your Shooting There are many things to consider and remember when practising your shooting technique. Therefore, we've created this handy infographic to offer sound advice for your next shoot or practice session. Enjoy! 1 Size Before you dive straight into shooting anything and everything, consider purchasing a gun that fits and suits your size. The length and the weight of your gun is most important, especially when using a shotgun or a similar model. A way of testing it is by holding your gun steadily at a ninety degree angle to your body, without any support, then this gun is right and ready to use. If you're struggling and needing to rest on something, consider buying a BB gun that's much more comfortable and easier to move around. 2 Comfort Be sure to practice your tuck, hand gripping and shoulder distance techniques. Always use your right shoulder when tucking your gun into it, even if you're a left-handed shooter. Although if you find it difficult to find a decent shooting position, theirs always the option of buying a left handed gun. The distance from your shoulder to the grip should be about the same distance forwards as your other hand, this being under the body of the rifle. In terms of gripping your gun, always use your dominant hand, get used to gripping it before you start pulling the trigger. Comfort is really important before diving straight in to the action. Vision Vision is massively important as it's the primary guide to your destine target. Most guns will come with some instructions or a short guide to get you started, but we have a few little tips your booklet might not have covered. Rather than moving your eye down to the rifle, hold your rifle across your body so you're standing side on rather than straight. This way, you can look along the barrel which is much more comfortable and effective when shooting your BB gun. HAVE A COMMUNICATION PLAN A few things to note when deciding which way to shoot is mainly dependent on the weather conditions. Make sure your gun sights are aligned and set up appropriately for your target. Fail to set the right alignment, and you'll simply find your shooting to be off course which is a waste of precious practice time! Shooting against the wind will simply cause the pellet to slow down and in some cases push it off Course. Same applies if you shoot perpendicular to the wind direction, the BB pellet will simply go off-course due to the power of the wind ahead. If you're guns sights are fixed in position and you're unable to adjust them, we'd suggest purchasing an external sight, for example, a laser pointer. The best conditions to practice your BB gun shooting is simply when the wind is blowing in the same direction as you're facing to prevent any inaccurate shooting. 5 Caliber Each BB gun is designed to specifically shoot a specific caliber. This will usually come with your BB Gun package, but if you've purchased a standalone gun, be sure to do your research. Using a BB pellet caliber that is too big or small for your model can affect the speed of your shooting, decrease the accuracy of your shots or simply cause a jam of pellets, which could lead to further difficulties with the functionality of your BB gun. Shoot with the correct caliber and you're shooting technique and practice will be sure to pay off. 6 Maintenance If your BB gun uses a spring mechanism whilst shoofing, it will require proper maintenance to shoot safely and correctly. We'd recommend purchasing a silicone lubricant which are designed to place on your airsoft gun for the best results when shooting. It's also useful for all BB gun models as it prevents the chances of damage. Practice Like with anything, the more you practice, the better you'll perfect your technique, and that applies with BB Gun Shooting. Put the hours in and take note of the other tips above, and you'll develop your shooting skills gradually and become a proficient shooter. After all, practice makes perfect!
