HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA OR GED After high school, you will have obtained some knowledge but may choose to keep building on what you learned by attending college. BACHELOR OF SCIENCE DEGREE (BS) As an engineering undergraduate at MU you will acquire knowledge in liberal arts as well as specialize in an area of engineering that interests you. MASTERS OF SCIENCE DEGREE (MS) At the graduate level, you are now going down a path that will be an in-depth study in an even more specialized area of engineering. DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY (PH.D.) During your Ph.D. candidacy you will enter a deeper explo- ration of your desired area of study. You will become an expert to the point of extending beyond the existing knowledge in that area.
