What is logical punctuation? 6 6 99 The orientation of quotation marks is determined by the meaning and structure of a sentence, rather than grammatical style conventions. Example of comvention: Always place periods or commas inside the quotation marks. Breaking with the standard by "logico If the period or comma isn't part of the quote, it's logical that it shouldn't be included inside the quotes. It all depends on whether or not the comma and/or period are part of the quote...
