Why Everyone is Moving to NASHVILLE Nashville is No. 5 on Forbes.com's list of cities Americans are "flocking to." The ranking is based on population change between 2010 and 2014. Travel + Leisure ranked Nashville third on its list of Best American Cities. Nashville placed 11th on REALTOR.com's list of the hottest housing markets for November 2015. Nashville is on Business Insider's list of the hottest American cities for 2016. The Milken Institute has released its 2015 "Best-Performing Cities" index. The Nashville MSA takes the 18th spot. Among big cities nationwide, Nashville has one of the highest rates of millennial entrepreneurs that own small businesses, according to a new study by the Kauffman Foundation. Nashville joins national and international hotspots such as Rome, Bermuda and Thailand as one of 16 destinations in the 2016 edition of the Forbes Travel Guide. In the past five years, technology and computers have added almost 6,500 new jobs, growing from 16,988 in 2010 to 23,400 this year 2015, according to the Nashville Technology Council.
