Struggling homeowners trying to avoid foreclosure now have a single resource to navigate the federal emergency assistance programs (totaling approximately $7.6 billion) including the 27-state Emergency Home Loan Program (EHLP), providing up to $50,000 in no interest mortgage payments, and the remaining funds available nationwide to help the unemployed and un- deremployed avoid foreclosure. Homeownership.org and the Homeowner's HOPE Hotline (888-995-HOPE) have come together, to prepare homeowners for the July 22 EHLP lottery deadline. The Hotline is staffed with hundreds of HUD approved counselors and offers homeown- ers a one stop shop to navigate through all options to save their homes. Spokespersons for HomeOwnership.org and the Homeowner's HOPE Hotline will be in New York City next week, July 6-8 and would like to meet with you to share the impact of this on homeowners nationwide. If you are unable to meet in person, we can schedule a phone interview. Many want to determine if they are eligible, but don't know where to begin. With the deadline fast approaching, homeowners in need are looking for resources to help them navigate the application process and obtain the simple and FAST answers and advice in advance of the deadline.
