Morocco Energy

The Energy of Morocco Morocco is a net hydrocarbon importer. The country produces marginal amounts of oil, natural gas, and refined petroleum products. Morocco has two refineries with a total crude oil distillation capacity of about 155,000 barrels per day (bbl/d). Recently there has been increased interest in upstream activities, largely because Morocco is believed to hold untapped hydrocarbon shale resources, and the country also offers favorable fiscal terms for foreign investment in the energy sector.
