GO DAY FAST CASH CLICK AND GO! Not Tracking Spending Mindless Hiding Purchases Retail Therapy? Spending SALE Do you hide your purchases from your partner? Even if you have your own budget that you can spend as you wish, you are still responsible to yourself for how that money is spent. If you feel guilty, or have an urge to hide or lie about the purchase, you need to confront the problem. Not tracking your purchases online or traditionally? Unopened boxes or bags of stuff? Not keeping a budget or "planning to spend" your money is a recipe for disaster. It also can wreck your credit cards - if your cards are maxed out on non- essentials, it's time to cut those babies up. Your credit rating will thank you. Some joke about "retail therapy", but this can be a dangerous mindset to get into. If you're using shopping as a way to vent your frustrations, what good will that do when you get your credit card statement at the end of the month, or when you look at your bank balance? Not tracking your spending is one part of the problem, but if you can't remember where your money went, that's even worse. Making a budget (and sticking to it) will help curb mindless spending. Better yet, get an app like Mint to help track your spending everywhere you go. If you don't have it, don't spend it. Talk openly and honestly with your partner, or a trusted friend/family member. Try exercise or a new (free) hobby next time stress hits instead. Compulsive Shopping Disorder To some, shopping stimulates the reward center of the brain, releasing those "feel good" hormones.
