The per capita annual gdp in Africa is $1200 USD. This figure is close to the size of the Indian economy with an annual GDP of $1.83 trillion USD and per capita GDP of $1491 USD. Africa may be the next China. This is the size of financial service industry in Africa. It experienced record growths thanks to an influx of foreign investment and innovations such as money transfer via mobile phones. However this indusry is stil too small to help propel Africa into the 21st Century.
