This infographic shows the increasing trend of women in leadership roles in the states. Also most people in leadership roles are still men, the statistics are finally shifting and this shift is accele... rating. The US saw a 20% growth over 5 years in the quantity of business owned by women. These 7.8 million businesses bring in a massive $3 trillion to the US economy and govern 23 million jobs or 16% of the workforce, which is certainly nothing to sneeze at either. And it isn't just Women Owned Small Businesses (WOSBs) either: two-thirds of corporate employees say that there will be many more women in leadership positions in their company in the next couple of years. When you couple this information with the fact that the majority of new graduates from advanced degrees in the next decade will be women, the fact that this is a growing trend becomes an apparent reassurance that our civilization is socially progressing just as much as it ever was (if not more).
