Many of us feel that each new role we land will mean an upward step on the career ladder; we're clearly focused on improving our employment prospects, and we feel confident that we can do so. For most...
of us, the next step will be into a position that is at least as good as what we have now, or even better. But three in every ten workers are not brimming with that level of confidence. They don’t feel that they could necessarily secure a similar or better position. Could this be a reflection of their own personal skill and experience assessment? Do they feel they have a personal “skills gap”? If they do, who is ultimately responsible?
