FULFILLMENT DICTIONARY FROM WAREHOUSING PRO Spend some time with warehousing and fulfillment vendors and you will no doubt experience an endless barrage of industry buzzwords. Words like "multipack" and "consignee" are all used in our industry, but often customers don't know what they mean. With that in mind, we've assembled a handy dictionary of definitions of these terms. We hope this aids you in navigating the world of fulfillment. AIR CUSHIONS BILL OF LADING BUNDLING Added as needed for extra support to all outgoing shipments. Receipt for goods contained in the shipment given to the consignee by the carrier. Combining multiple single units, or multiple pieces, into one sellable unit. CARTON CASE-PACKED All products within the carton match in SKU and quantity. Outermost shipping box. CONSIGNEE CUSTOMS BROKER (aka Importer of Record) The owner/purchaser of the goods, and financially responsible party. A professional who facilitates the forwarding of goods through cu- stoms. DETAILED INSPECTION The process to open the product packaging and inspect using speci- fic instructions. This requires opening the product packaging and handling the product itself. DUTY FEES FNSKU FREIGHT FORWARDER Fulfillment Network Stock Keeping Unit - an Amazon product label Facilitates the forwarding of shipments from port to receiving destination. (Tax, Tariffs): Based on the total value of your goods, duty fees will need to be paid by the Consignee/Importer of Record upon import into the coun- try. INNER CARTON INSERTS LABELS Contained within Master Cartons, Coupons, fliers, thank you notes, user manuals, etc. Any sticker to be applied to your pro- duct packaging. usually used with small products to offer additional layer of protection. MASTER CARTON MIXED-SKU MULTIPACK Outmost shipping box containing multiple inner cartons of products. Multiple identical products sold to- gether. Carton contains one or more diffe- rent products and in different quanti- ties. POLY BAG PROCESSING The thin, plastic pouch used to protect goods. Receiving, inspecting, counting, re-packing, weighing, measuring, and shipping your order. PRODUCT CONTENT VERIFICATION RYTY Verifying the presence of specific features, pieces, and/or quality. Requires opening the product packaging and handling the product itself. PRODUCT PACKAGING The outermost product packaging your customer would see. RECEIVER REPLACEMENT PACKAGING The party responsible for accepting the delivery from the supplier. Extra product packages/plastic casing sent in addition to or after your total expected quantity. SORTING SUPPLIER Itemizing/configuring your order based on your shipping plan. Manufacturer of your product- s/packaging/inserts, etc. ULTIMATE CONSIGNEE UPC Third-party receiver of goods entering the country, prior to sale. Universal Product Code. This generic barcode will be covered by the FNSKU in most instances. WAY BILL An itemized list of goods in a particu- lar shipment.
