6 Steps of a Job Hazard Analysis

MBLR Job Hazard Analysism is an essential part of any safety program. This infographic will help you conduct an effective JHA and locate resources to assist with each step. Factors to consider: Accident history -Injury/illness records Potential for catastrophe Task complexity Changes to process or personnel Jobs requiring safety permits STEP 3 SLIPS & FALLS DESCRIBE THE HAZARDS PINCH POINTS CHEMICAL EXPOSURE in each step. TIP Make sure to CAUGHT IN/BET WEEN FIRE ERGONOMICS consider hazards resulting from the WORK ENVIRONMENT as well as those produced by the TASK itself. STEP 4 DEVELOP CORRECTIVE MEASURES to reduce or eliminate the hazards. Follow the HIERARCHY OF CONTROLS: 1. Elimination 2. Substitution 3. Engineering controls 4. Administrative controls 5. PPE STEP 5 WRITE SAFE JOB PROCEDURES. Describe safe work practices and list any special PPE or equipment required. Review with employees and keep in an accessible location. STEP 6 CERTIFY, DOCUMENT, and KEEP RECORDS of your JHAS.
