Christian Marriages | Steps for Success

Marriage Survival 101 or "How to live through the first years without tearing your hair out" Every step of a relationship brings changes, but no changes are as big as those that come from getting married. Even couples who have been together for a decade find that officially tying the knot can reveal some obstacles they didn't know could exist. It's normal to feel strange when you realize that you've actually gotten married and now you feel like you have to fit into the definition of "married people". After a welding and it just seems to get more complicated from there.. 1. You think Affrently about yousef CHURCH free time making money HOUSE PAYNNENTS 2. Your friends and family think Afferently about you. family events volunteer work kids SPENDING MONEY CHORES in-laws The first years of marriage can be as easy as 1-2-3: Ephesians 5:22-25 For wives, this means submit to your husbands as to the Lord, For a husband is the head of his wife as Christ is the head of the church. He is the Savior of his body, the church. As the church submits to Christ, so you wives should subrmit to your husbands in everything. or husbands, this means love your wives, just as Christ loved the church. He gave up his life for her 1: RESPECT No healthy relationship can continue without mutual respect. It spouts from deep admiration, which is an element of love. The best way to be respected is to give respect. It'll keep your relationship strong and without it, you won't be able to love one another fully. Ephesians 4:3-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. 2: GRACE T Unfortunately, getting married doesn't automatically make you and your spouse perfect. Sometimes it might even feel like you are each less perfect now than you ever have been. Plan to hand out grace and forgiveness like candy on Halloween – especially since you'll need it, too. Apologize, forgive, move forward into God's love, and you'lI be happier and healthier on all counts. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two people are better off than one, for they can help each other succeed. If one person falls, the other can reach out and help. But someone who falls alone is in real trouble. Likewise, two people lying close together can keep each other warm. But how can one be warm alone? A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken. 3: DATES That's right - you thought you got married so you could stop dating, but it may actually be better for your marriage if you date more than ever. Go to church together, take walks after dinner, or go back and check out the place you had your first date. You'll have fun, get closer, and get to remember why you got married in the first place.
