The BREMONT STORY There ONCE WERE TWO LITTLE BOYS... .who, influenced by their father, were fascinated by mechanical objects. GILES NICK Together, Nick and Giles spent time taking apart and lovingly restoring old... ...& their greatest love of all: CARS... YACHTS... CLOCKS... PLANES Life became an adventure, and Nick, Giles and their father enjoyed many events together. ... But THEN... Tragedy struck in 1995, when Nick & his father were on a flight in a vintage WW2 plane - the engine faltered and the plane crashed. Nick was very badly injured, and, sadly, the boys' father, Evan, was killed in the crash. Giles decided the best way to help the boys grieve was to do something that had brought them all together.. .and so the boys took to the skies once again, in honour of their father. L, The BOYS REALISED LIFE WAS TOO SHORT, AND DECIDED TO CO-CREATE A WATCH BRAND During a flight over the champagne region in France, Nick and Giles had to make an emergency landing in a nearby field. The farmer whose field they had landed in was an ex-war pilot, and helped the boys restore their weather-damaged plane in his barn. .which was full of old clocks and engine pieces. The farmer reminded them of their father. Up until this point, the boys had debated calling their watch brand "English Watches", but to call the brand after their own name just ...so they decided to name their watches after the old man who, against French law, had so kindly helped them. didn't seem right..
