IS YOUR BANK TAKING YOU TO THE BANK 10 SNEAKY FEES FOR PERSONAL CHECKING & SAVINGS ACCOUNTS Watch how these basic fees can add up to hundreds of dollars a year for someone with a simple checking and savings account! MAINTENANCE FEE $12.50 X 12 MONTHS = $150 It's not uncommon for banks to charge a monthly MAINTENANCE FEE $150 for low balances in checking accounts, usually between $10-15. In just one year, that's a total of $1,014 in possible sneaky bank fees.
