Pininfarina's Aresline Xten £930,000 Basically what looks like a very expensive office chair. Made by the same company that designs Ferraris and Cadillacs. Ruijssenaars Magnetic Floating Bed £1 million A bed that floats 40cm off the floor and can support 900kg. Magnets built into the floor and the bed itself repel each other to create floating effect. Potentially dangerous if you have piercings. The Tufft Table £2.9 million Auctioned 1990 Made by master cabinet maker Thomas Tufft in Philidelphia in 1776. Originally resided in New Jersey and was sold at Christie's by Samuel Harrison Gardiner, a direct descendent of Thomas Tufft. Harrington Commode DOO £3.8 million Auctioned 2010 Hand crafted by Thomas Chippendale. This set of drawers dates back to 1770. Baldacchino Supreme £4 million Most expensive piece of furniture available on the market today. Includes 107kg of 24ct gold. Headboard comes with diamonds. Goddard- Townsend Antique Secretary Desk £7.5 million Auctioned 1989 Monolithic, mahogany masterpiece made by two Quaker families in the States in 1760. Sold to the Brown family of New York at Christie's. The Dragons Chair £17.8 million Auctioned 2009 Made in 1918 by Eileen Gray. Selling price was ten times more than its estimated value. Now owned by Yves Saint Laurent. Badminton Cabinet £19 million Auctioned 2004 Commissioned by the Duke of Beaufort in 1726. Took 6 years to complete. Bought by Prince Hans-Adam II of Liechtenstein and now on permanent display in the Liechtenstein Museum of Vienna.
