WIKI WOES WHY DO WE RELY ON KNOWLEDGE THAT BECOMES MORE AND MORE UNSTABLE? WHO has power over the HYPERLINK? The Wiki Model assumes that all portals will never break, thus never die. The more hyperlinks it accumulates, a greater expectation accrues for hyperlink immortality. A precept that is not in the Wiki's power to control. As the Wiki, grows, so does it's content, as do then their sources, as does their dependency on hyperlinks, alas, their false assumption grows over more control to an internet that is always growing, changing, & innovating. HOW many hyperlinks is ENOUGH? Perhaps it's for no one to really say, however, the Wiki Model can be argued that it has reached a saturation point. Just how many portals are necessary per article? When does the hyperlink become a burden for research rather than a tool, especially if one considers the aforementioned? Credibility is questioned. Tagging has become the next iteration of catergorizing the internet. It's not a question as to whether how many hyperlinks are enough, it's a matter in which they are no longer enough. HOW important is data INTEGRITY? "This article needs additional citations for verification. Please help improve this article by adding citations to reliable sources. Uncourced material may be challenged and removed." Countless articles are bombarded with this header; for many seemingly, this header has become as permanent to the article as any hyperlink, image, or table, putting into question the data/source integrity of those very hyperlinks, images, and tables.
