WHY DO PEOPLE MOVE? In the midst of the ecenomic downturn, Historically, a significant number of people move each year in search of renters and homeowners alike have begun looking for more affordable housing, with an improved quality of life. A trend that is recently on the decline, down 11% making the change in 2009, up 3% from 2004. from 21% in 2004 to 15% in 2009. (3 Of all those who moved in 2009 and 2010, 16% re- ported moving for a change in jobs. In fact, job changes are a driving force behind out of 2% 22% county moves, with only 2% of people in county reporting a move for work, as compared to 22% of those moving out of their home county.
