Tennessee Whiskey By law, only needs to meet the definition of a "generic whiskey." Any grains will do so long as the final product "possesses the taste, aroma and characteristics generally attributed to whiskey." Gnerally made with mostly corn, and a much smaller portion of barley. Needs to be aged for at least a day in oak barrels. Must also be "charcoal mellowed." WHISKEY Including Туреes RECIPE BASICS Legal Moonshine "Legal Moonshine" (think Ol' Smokey) is the least well defined spirit of this group. It can literally be made with any grain bill. However, if it is also labeled "corn whiskey," it's made with mostly corn. Unlike other whiskies, it is generally not aged.
