WWw.CLAWHAMMERSUPPLY.COM Bourbon Must be fermented from a mash of no less than 51% Corn, distilled at no higher than 160 proof, stored in new charred oak barrels (entering at no higher than 125 proof), and bottled at no less than 80 proof. Our sources suggest that most popular Bourbons.today use a grain bill of 70-80% corn, 15-20% malted barley, and 5-10% rye. Tennessee Whiskey By law, only needs to meet the definition of a "generic whiskey." Any grains will do so long as the final product "possesses the taste, aroma and characteristics generally attributed to whiskey." Gnerally made with mostly corn, and a much smaller portion of barley. Needs to be aged for at least a day in oak barrels. Must also be "charcoal mellowed." WHISKEY Including Туреes RECIPE BASICS Legal Moonshine "Legal Moonshine" (think Ol' Smokey) is the least well defined spirit of this group. It can literally be made with any grain bill.
