Where The Wealthy Students Still Lag

Where The Wealthy Students Still Lag Each year, students across the globe take a test called the Programme for International Student Assessment, or PISA, and students in wealthy nations don't always achieve the best results. We've shown each country's math scores by socioeconomic decile to illustrate how being poor in some countries is less of a barrier to getting a good education than in others - and how the wealthiest students in some of the world's richest countries, such as the U.S., don't perform as well as their peers. • Second decile O Seventh decile Bottom decile • Third decile O Fourth decile O Fifth decile Sixth decile O Eighth decile • Ninth decile • Top decile Countries and economies in bold have an average socioeconomic status above the OECD average. Countries and economies that are not bold have an average socioeconomic status below the OECD average.
