We asked all of our employees to give us a list of their most memorable movie cars. We looked at more than 50 iconic movie cars from the past 50 years. Here are the Top 10 Movie Cars of All Time according to I DRIVE SAFELY employees. What cars are on your list? MILW 04 IDS MILW 02 IDS MIW 00 IDS 1981 DeLorean DMC-12 Back to the Future 1985 "Roads? Where we're going, we don't need roads" - "Doc Brown" (Christopher Lloyd) One of seven production models was auctioned for $541,000 in December of 2011. Originally designed by Andrew Probert. 2. 1961 Ferarri 250 GT California Spyder SWB Ferris Bueller's Day Off - 1986 "If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away?" - "Ferris Bueller" (Matthew Broderick) Since the movie, this model has become one of the most expensive cars, auctioning for $10,894,900 in 2008. 1963 Aston Martin DB5 Goldfinger - 1964 "Ejector seat? You're joking!" - "James Bond" (Sean Connery) One of two DB5S used in the 1964 movie, "Goldfinger", fully equipped with all the gadgetry seen in the movie, sold for £2.6 million at an RM Auctions event in October 2010. 4. 1973 Ford XB Falcon Mad Max - 1979 "She sucks nitro... with Phase 4 heads! 600 horsepower through the wheels! She's meanness set to music..." - "Barry, MFP Mechanic" (David Cameron) This model car is also featured in the 2009 documentary film "Love the Beast" directed by Eric Bana 1979 Porsche 928 Risky Business - 1983 "Porsche. There is no substitute" - "Joel Goodson" (Tom Cruise) The car Tom Cruise drove in "Risky Business"-most memorably in a chase scene with Guido the pimp-sold for $49,200 at a recent auction of Hollywood memorabilia. That's roughly five times more than a comparable Porsche 928 that comes without movie bragging rights. 1970 Dodge Charger The Fast and the Furious - 2001 "It don't matter if you win by an inch or a mile. Winning's winning" - "Dom" (Vin Diesel) The car was destroyed in the movie and has since been completely restored by its original builder. 1932 Ford Deuce Coupe American Grafitti - 1973 "Oh, race him. You can beat him." - "Carol" (Mackenzie Phillips) Considered one of the most recognizable cars in the world. 1966 Ford Thunderbird Thelma and Louise 1991 "Driiiive Louise! Drive! Drive the car! Go! Go! Go go go go go go!" - "Thelma" (Geena Davis) A total of five identical 1966 Thunderbird convertibles were used throughout the shoot: one "star car", one camera car, one back-up car, and two stunt cars. The 1966 Ford Thunderbird used in the movie "Thelma and Louise" sold through Barrett-Jackson auctions for $65,000 in 2008. 1974 Dodge Monaco The Blues Brothers - 1980 "What do you say, is it the new Bluesmobile or what?" - "Elwood" (Dan Akroyd) The film used 13 different cars to depict the Bluesmobile, all of which were former police cars purchased from the California Highway Patrol, and were mocked up to look like ex-Mount Prospect, Illinois patrol cars.
