A TALE OF TWO SICK DAYS MOM Vs CHILD SICK MOM 6:30AM SICK CHILD You wake up wondering if you were hit by a truck during the night. Wakes up ready to milk being sick for all it's worth. 7:15AM Husband bolts out the door. Stays in bed as long as possible calling out for their every need. You're in this alone. 8:00AM This little germ magnet did this to you. He is responsible. Gets pampered with breakfast in bed. 9:20AM You're burried in tissues. Where did Mounds of tissue they all come from? magically cleaned up. 10:30AM You estimate you have roughly 1,000 things to do with nobody to help. Makes plans to do nothing but watch TV all day. 12:15PM You wonder if you Chicken noodle soup swallowed a cactus. and popsicles. Yay! 578 UNREAD MESSAGES 3:00PM Emails keep piling up, providing further proof that the outside world doesn't pause if you're sick. Friend brings homework. Wait. What?!!?! 3:45PM You'd see a doctor, but you're too exhausted and you already know you're sick. Gets a sweet treat at the doctor's office 4:30PM You're still in your sweats, you haven't showered, and of course More TV! you run into someone you know. 6:10PM Dad comes home and "courageously" plays video games with his son to make him feel better. Somehow you're still stuck making dinner, Mac n' Cheese it is! 9:00PM z You load up on NyQuil and wait for the memories of this day to Falls asleep secretly hoping he gets to miss school again the next day. fade away forever We've all been there GOGargle! www.gogargle.com
