THE SHELF LIFE (G OF YOUR FOOD HOW LONG CERTAIN FOODS REALLY LAST IN THE FRIDGE AT 40 °F OR BELOW: 1-2 days, raw and unopened Poultry 3-4 days, cooked 3-4 days, precooked, after opening Beef, Veal, Pork, & Lamb 3-5 days, cooked 1-2 days, raw and unopened Sausage 3-4 days, cooked 3-4 days, precooked, after opening Ground Meat - 1-2 days, raw and unopened 3-4 days, cooked & Poultry Eggs 3-5 weeks, raw and in shell 2-5 years unopened (in pantry) Canned Meat, Poultry, & Fish 3-4 days, after opening Bread 3 months frozen 2-3 days, after opening (in pantry) Fruits 'n Veggies Dairy Products Produce items can vary from a lifetime from a few days (like green beans), a couple weeks (onions), to months (hello squash!). Make sure to store them in the fridge, and remember that once they're chopped, they'll go bad faster! Cheese and milk can be a bit trickier, so using our nose is the best bet.
