Pyramids of Mars

Thousands of years ago a war raged between members of the alien Osiran race, The battle In 1911, archeologist Professor Marcus Scarman enters a pyramid in Egypt and discovers Sutekh alive inside. The immobile Sutekh awakens and The DOCTOR reached Earth as Horus and 740 others defeated the evil and all- powerful Sutekh the Destroyer. kills Scarman with a blast of energy from his eyes. He then possesses Scarman's corpse and uses it to facilitate his escape. A brilliant and eccentric Time Lord from the planet Gallifrey. He is an adventurer who travels through time and space in the TARDIS, a machine that's bigger on The Osirans sealed him in an immobilizing field inside a pyramid in Egypt. The field is powered by the Eye of Horus, located safely inside another pyramid on the planet Mars. The Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith are heading for the year 1980 in the TARDIS. Sutekh's awakening causes a disruption in space-time, diverting them to Professor Scarman's mansion in 1911 England. the inside than the outside. As a Time Lord the Doctor can regenerate his body when it becomes injured or aged. This is the Doctor's fourth incarnation. The ancient Egyptians were heavily influenced by Osiran culture. The Scarman mansion is a former priory and is located on the future site of UNIT, the Unified Intelligence Taskforce. SARAH JANE SMITH The Doctor and Sarah Jane explore the mansion and find it has been taken over by Ibrahim Namin, has been using a space-time corridor, located inside an Egyptian sarcophagus, to command Namin and lay the plans for his escape. MARCUS SCARMAN follower of Sutekh. Sutekh A journalist from the year 1980. She travels with the Doctor as his companion, seeking action and adventure Professor of Archaeology at All Souls College, Oxford University and brother to Laurence Scarman. Namin filled the mansion with Egyptian artifacts including sarcophagi which contain Osiran service robots disguised as Mummies. Sarah Jane is intelligent, witty and a surprisingly crack shot with a rifle. After Professor Scarman is killed, his reanimated corpse is controlled by Sutekh. The possessed commands a trio of Robotic Mummies to aid him in freeing Sutekh from his prison. Memorable Moments In Whostory: POLICE BOX The possessed Professor Scarman travels through the space-time corridor to the mansion, where he kills Namin. He then instructs the Robotic "PYRAMIDS OF MARS" Desperate to destroy the missile, the Doctor travels through the space-time corridor to Sutekh's cell in Egypt. He distracts Sutekh for an instant, causing him to release his hold on the blast, which destroys the missile. Mummies to build a missile that will target and destroy the Eye of Horus on Mars, which will release Sutekh from his eons Story 82, 1975 Furious, Sutekh plans to torture the Doctor for etemity until he detects the TARDIS back inside the mansion. Sutekh reasons he can use it to destroy the Eye of Horus. He takes control of the Doctor and forces him to use the TARDIS to transport Professor Scarman, Sarah Jane and a Mummy to Mars. of imprisonment. The Doctor and Sarah Jane learn of the Eye of Horus from Professor Scarman's brother Laurence. They attempt to destroy the missle with explosives, but Sutekh is able to contain the destructive blast with his mind SÜTEKH The last of the powerful alien Osiran race. Although he is trapped and immobile within his Egyptian prison, he can use his vast mental powers to control others to do his bidding and engineer his escape. His true appearance is that of a humanoid with a long, thin jackal-like face. The Doctor briefly takes Sarah Jane and Laurence Scarman to 1980 to show them what will happen if Sutekh's plan succeeds. There they see that Earth will become a lifeless wasteland and Sarah Jane realizes Sutekh must be stopped at all costs. Sutekh can project deadly beams of energy from his eyes. Also known the Typhonian Beast, Set, Sadok, Seth and Satan. LAURENCE SCARMAN IBRAHIM NAMIN Arriving on Mars, Scarman and a Mummy Guard leave the Doctor and Sarah Jane in the TARDIS and head for the Eye of Horus in order to destroy it. Brother to Marcus Scarman. Laurence is an amateur inventor who constructs a crude radio telescope that helps the Doctor discover the location of the Eye of Horus. An acolyte of Sutekh who secretly brought the Robot Mummies to the Scarman mansion in preparation for his master's arrival. He cannot come to grips with the fact that his brother is now a reanimated corpse and is ultimately killed by him. With Sutekh's attention focused elsewhere, the Doctor is freed from his mind control. He and Sarah Jane attempt to follow Scarman, but are delayed by many traps and intricate puzzles that protect the entrance to the Eye. He can activate and control the Mummies with a special ring he wears. Namin is killed and cast aside once Sutekh no longer needs him. Once Sutekh is defeated, the Doctor accidentally sets fire to the mansion and destroys it, an event destined to happen. CANADA! The Doctor realizes that due to the distance between Mars ROBOT MUMMIES Professor Scamman reaches the final chamber and destroys the Eye of Horus, which kept Sutekh imprisoned back in Egypt. His usefulness to Sutekh and Earth, the energy signal generated by the Eye of Horus will not be interrupted for another two minutes. Osiran Service Robots disguised as Mummies. They are used by Sutekh and his acolytes as workers and guards. He and Sarah Jane race back to the Scarman mansion in the TARDIS. With seconds to spare, the Doctor uses part of the TARDIS console to trap Sutekh in the space- time corridor for eternity, thus saving the galaxy. ended, his reanimated body immediately turns to dust. They are extremely strong and can kill humans with ease. They can be controlled by vocal commands from their master or by using a special ring. Each Mummy is powered by a pyramid shaped particle accelerator on its back. Released from the Eye's immobilizing ray, Sutekh is now free to destroy the entire galaxy. The Eye of Horus was guarded by elite Service Robots decorated with gold bands.
