ADVOCACY WORK ELECTORAL POSITIONS These positions promote policy objectives by raising awareness on important issues with the public and officials. ASSOCIATION EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR ELECTED OFFICIAL Leads a non-profit association or advocacy group, including managing its business affairs and personnel, and overseeing finances and fundraising efforts. Represents the people at a federal, state, or local level. Elected officials include the president and vice president, senators, representatives, governor, mayor, state and local officials, and city council members. Oversees all aspects of political campaigns, including day-to-day operations, staff recruitment, and the development of strategic plans. POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE FUNDRAISING CONSULTANT (PAC) EXECUTIVE Works closely with campaign managers and media consultants to create strategic initiatives to raise funding for the candidate's campaign. Operates in the advocacy sphere to lead political action committees in their fundraising efforts and donation strategies. EVENTS MANAGER PRESS SECRETARY Takes care of all elements of organizing advocacy events, such as devising a budget, booking venues, coordinating with fundraisers, and arranging media coverage.
