PACKING TIPS FOR MOVING SET ASIDE IMPORTANT ITEMS Before you pack up your entire wardrobe, be sure to save a change of clothes or two to pack separately in a bag. You'll also want to include personal possessions like your passport, checkbook, and even your valuable jewelry. Don't forget essential toiletry items (i.e. toothbrush and deodorant) and any medications you may need. HOW OFTEN DO PEOPLE MOVE? THE AVERAGE AMERICAN MOVES ABOUT 12 TIMES IN THEIR LIFETIME USE THE RIGHT SIZE BOXES Put heavy items, like books, in small boxes; light items, like linens and pillows, in bigger ones. (Large boxes packed with heavy items are a common complaint of professional movers. They not only make the job harder but also have a better chance of breaking.)
