A study on the Changes to the UK High Street.
This infographic illustrates the findings of some research completed by SimplyBusiness.co.uk. They looked at over 75,000 businesses and analysed the changes between 2008 and 2010.
They found an increase in the number of restaurants, pubs and cafes. Additionally, hairdressers and beauty salons are beginning to thrive – with the former now the most common type of non-hospitality establishment on the High Street.
Sadly, retailers have fared worse, with clothes shops and newsagents showing a marked decline during the period.
