OPEN INNOVATION IN FRANCE 144 60 bluenove, the leading provider of "Open Innovation services" in France, has conducted a month long study during March 2011 that involved questioning over 144 members of staff from over 60 major French companies. This study was to eva- luate the policies applied to Open Innovation. The study aimed to answer what vision do French companies have of Open Innovation and what are the perceived advantages and risks when applying an Open Innovation strategy ? The study also addresses the position of Open Innovation as compared to equivalent American firms. What is Open Innovation ? Open innovation is the practice of integrating new internal and external partners within a firm in the development of its innovations.
