Below is the educational background of New York City residents 25 years and older in 2009. With over 35% of residents being born outside the United States, New York City is one of the most diverse cities in the country. In 2009, 91.7% of New Yorkers were resident workers. Houston New York residents are most likely to use environmentally friendly forms of transportation to. Only 58% of Boston residents commute in such a manner. NEW YORK SAN FRANCISCO came in second with 81%. As much as New York City is known for its towering buildings and bridges it is also known for its beautiful parks and spaces. The recovery in the employment market in New York City has been stronger than that of the U.S. in the first half of 2010. The second half saw a slight decrease.
