As per the November 2013 Naukri Job Speak Index, hiring has marginally picked up. IT has been the anchor of this growth, with a solid increase of 10 per cent in recruitment activities. Oil & Gas also ...
performed well where hiring grew 6 percent. Amongst the top metros Kolkata attracted maximum job seekers with a 14 per cent increase in recruitment. Although the growth in hiring is a trivial 1 percent as compared to October 2013 index performance, the YoY growth clearly demands attention. The index has witnessed a significant increase of 16 per cent in hiring in November 2013 over November 2012.
