Gilroy Garlic Festival When: July 25th, 2014 Where: Gilroy, California, U.S. One of the biggest food festivals in the United States, this event celebrates the mighty aromatic known as garlic. Visitors can experience garlic cooking demonstrations, garlic braiding classes and an impressive array of garlic-infused food, including garlic ice cream, garlic popcorn and garlic mussels. The Marine Lobster Festival When: July 30th, 2014 Where: New England town of Rockland, U.S. A celebration of the crustacean that the state is known for. There is a local truffle market that opens to these selective guests and truffles sold here are as expensive as $2000 a kilo. NYC Wine & Food Festival When: October 16th, 2015 Where: New York, U.S. Of course, foodie favourite New York City enters the running, with its wine and food festival in October.
