With the Native Hawaiian set to double, what will these statistics look like in 50 years? Chronic Health Issues In 2005, 73% of Native Hawaiian adults were overweight or obese. By comparison, the statewide prevalence for overweight and obesity was 54%.* Health Security Native Hawaiians have the highest prevalence of uninsured adults in Hawai'i.
