Since the beginning of democracy, elections have revolved around votes. No candidate can succeed without rallying voters behind their platform, but attention cost money. How can candidates with winning messages—and minimal resources—attract enough attention to win? Contrary to today's political norms, it is possible. Today we explore the emerging new reality of elections: candidates and voters finding each other directly, with money playing a progressively smaller role in the process.
