From Mind to Matter: Trans-Matic Grows it's Product Development Process

From Mind to Matter: Trans-Matic Grows it's Product Development Process Metal stampings are found everywhere, even in your sprinkler system. As you water your lawn, you likely never think how the water is regulated and sprayed with stamped metal components. But we do. At Trans-Matic, manufacturers contact us to help cultivate their trusted parts. Before the parts are made, we help plant an idea, build a prototype, and produce a part. Trans-Matic has the experience, capability, and resources to help grow projects from concept seed to fruitful production. How can we help you? Deep drawn metal stampings are everywhere. On planes, trains, and automobiles ... Homes and gardens... From forks to fracking ... If a drawn stamping is needed, Trans-Matic can do it! Napkin Innovation Whether on heavy duty napkins or loose leaf paper, Trans-Matic's "application engineers" hold in-depth discussions to mature the purpose of your part. Through drafting of sketches, their conceptual skills are so strong it sometimes seems like they view the world in four dimensions! Crayon to CAD Put your 3D glasses away. We render your part in a 3D computer visual to see how it will look in real life. Design on a Dime The part is poorly designed if it costs too much to make. Trans-Matic assures 3 high volume success in your product through intense feasibility analysis discussions with our customers. Tooling Around We will develop the type of tooling to 4 be used, the construction materials, and the machining processes. Best part? This is all part of the develop- ment package! Bend but Don't Break It is test time for our customers! They bend (and sometimes break) our prototype design during Finite Element Analysis to determine how the product will perform in the real world. Plastic Makes Perfect We also do a rapid stereolithograph (or SLA) plastic prototype so customers can get their hands on an actual scale model of their part. Live and Let Die Set cee After all of the development information is gathered, we go to our closet of misfit tools and build a quick prototype die set. The product idea is almost fully grown! A Drawn-out Process Now we are ready to make parts. Our journey men development toolmakers set the tools in our dedicated prototype presses and carefully make drawn parts out of flat raw material stock. Ta Da! Testing 1, 2, 3. Customers perform multiple rounds of on-site measuring and testing of the new component in their systems. Trans-Matic ensures product success by verifying the product is what we had wanted all along. The Perfect Prototype 10 Once tested, the prototype is ready for the customer to use. Try it, you'II like it! Once the prototype has helped the customer verify and validate their product, we are ready for the production tooling to begin. Product in hand, you're ready to water.
