The Life & Times of ASHLEY B MANN November 18, 1985: I was born in Washington, DC. This day is the birth of At some point, my mom 1989-1996: I went to Shepherd Elementary School. I wish I remembered it. Actually, my kindergarten teacher was cool. took me outside and taught me what “bees" are and to stay away from them. Yep, this was my first word. awesome. Somewhere in here, I had my first kiss. I was sitting on a bus with my nose buried in Harry Potter. I was attacked. His name was Jerry. 1999-2003: 1996-1999: I attended Walls SHS. I taught myself that animals are my friends. I became a vegetarian for 2 whole years. Seriously, it happened. I went to Deal Junior High School. There, I discovered boys. I was young, but it was love at first sight. I also became interested in fitness and athletics in high school. I played softball and did Tae-Bo at home. Oh, high school. I tried to find myself as most teenagers do. I didn't know which way was up. Mad confusion (keep reading-l figured things out). 2003: I started at Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh. Go Tartans! I majored in writing-and went to parties. So. Many. House. Parties. Seriously, this happened, too. Remember VHS? Hello In these next few years I traveled, then quit my job, saved up $8,000, got a portfolio together, and ran off to Parsons in New York City. Not one regret. Not a one. 2008: 2007: I graduated and moved back to DC. I didn't know what to do or where to work, so I took some art classes at the Corcoran College of Art + Design. It all started here. I experimented with the ever-so-awesome screenprinting. I'll never forget about screenprinting. This actually was love at first sight. I know my voice. In school, the gym, and in general life, l've met some really wonderful people. I'm so grateful to for them. Recently, I moved to Greenpoint, Brooklyn and am closer to everyone. You Barbell Club and did CrossFit for a while. It introduced me to olympic weightlifting and powerlifting. I'd say lifting is my secondary passion. Being strong feels good. I've gotten really interested in infographics, web design, and have recently started my design studio, Mannhaus Brand. can catch me there.
