A licensed practical nurse, otherwise known as an “LPN” is a nurse with enough training to be granted a license from the state, in order to assist in routine care for the infirm. A large number of LPNs are expected to retire over the coming decade. As a result, employment opportunities are projected to grow faster than the average of all other occupations.
