The lasting impact of NSF astronomy grants

A chart showing the distribution of publishing dates fo rpapers produced by every astronomy National Science Foundation grant since 1995. While most grants produce the peek output of published work in around 3 years, the long tail extends to over a decade. Thus, we expect that grants received now will be providing useful science for another decade!
