Just Label It

WE ALL HAVE A RIGHT TO KNOW The FDA does not currently require Genetically Engineered foods to be labeled... So... WHAT ARE GENETICALLY ENGINEERED FOODS? Genetically engineered foods, also called GE or GMO gre those created with plants or animals that have had their genetic material altered by adding DNA from different species in ways that cannot occur in nature or with traditional breeding. WHERE GE FOODS CAN BE FOUND? GE ingredients are found in Corn, Soybeans, Canola (aka rapeseed), Cotton, Sugar Beets, Alfalfa, Hawaiian, Papaya, Zucchini, Yellow Crookneck Squash. GE corn and soybeans make up 90% of all GE crop acres in the U.S. GE salmon is pending FDA approval and could be the FIRST genetically engineered animal in the U.S. By inserting genes from other species, the salmon is engineered to continuously produce growth hormones that cause the fish to grow at TWICE the normal rate.
